
Dr. Robert George

Dr. George is our resident aquatics specialist. He spends one week monthly in Myrtle Beach, SC and Gatlinburg, TN, attending to the Ripley’s Aquariums. He is also the staff veterinarian at the Virginia Aquarium in Virginia Beach. It’s not unusual to spot a sea turtle, harbor seal, or other marine life coming through the doors at Gloucester Veterinary Hospital seeking Dr. George’s care. He enjoys life on the river in Mathews, with his wife, Sharon and their 4-legged friends "Pippin" and "Baggins". Dr. George has raised two children in Gloucester and Mathews where he served as a scoutmaster and coached parks and recreation softball.

Dr. Jacque Schuder

Dr. Schuder began her veterinary career at Gloucester Veterinary Hospital, and has remained ever since. Pictured here with "Scallop", Dr. Schuder also has another dog, "Tanqueray". Her feline friend is "Oyster". She also has two birds named Cedar and Waxy. During time away from the clinic, Dr. Schuder enjoys gardening and water activities. She lives with her husband, Rick.

Dr. Sam Hendrix

Dr. Sam has been a veterinarian at Gloucester Veterinary Hospital since her graduation from veterinary school in 2000. She chose to settle in Gloucester due to its small town atmosphere and to remain close to family ties in the Richmond and Newport News areas. Pictured are her dog, Fuzzy (left) and her average brown dog, Skyler (right). She also has two cats, Cabana and Honeybadger. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, rock collecting, running, and wine-making.
Dr. Amy Perkins
Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine
College Education: Carson-Newman College, Biology and Music
Dr. Perkins is a native of Perryville, KY. She currently resides in Gloucester County with her husband Brian, Scottish Terrier-Ollie, English Springer Spaniel-Bentley, black lab-Alex, and their 2 cats-Anna and Falcon. She has a passion for and an involvement in Veterinary Missionary work extending as far as Mexico and Honduras as well as the USA. She also serves as a board member for the local chapter of the American Red Cross. Her veterinary interests include ultrasound, preventative medicine, and orthopedics. Although she has lived here for only a short time, she thoroughly enjoys working and living in beautiful Gloucester, Virginia.

Dr. Lindsey Novean

College Education: College of William and Mary, Biology and Psychology
Dr. Novean began working at Gloucester Veterinary Hospital after her graduation from veterinary school in May of 2012. She is pictured here with her two dogs: “Toast,” the slowest greyhound around and “Maeby,” the retired laboratory dog. She also lives with two cats, “Teddy,” the happy Siamese and “Elmo,” the food-obsessed orange tabby. Finally she shares her home with “Mr. Stretchy,” the ball python, and Weston, the fiancé. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, watching movies, reading, cooking, and watching “The Food Network.”
